Hard to believe there is a huge volcanic cloud overhead that would cause our flight to be canceled.  We flew to Amsterdam for my wife’s birthday and couldn’t believe the fantastic weather, little did we know…  KLM couldn’t have been nicer, they let us exchange our tickets for train tickets and we joined the untold thousands who were trying to get home.  Instead of a one hour flight it was a 10 hour train ride, but we felt lucky.  I never tire of walking around Amsterdam with a camera, regardless of the weather, but sunshine is a real treat.
